Description

On August 6, 2011, Sgt. Daniel J. Patron, a United States Marine Corps EOD technician, was killed in the line of duty while attempting to disarm an IED in Sangin, Afghanistan. Sgt. Patron had just extended his deployment to ensure that the Marines he was stationed with would find their way home. This film is a tribute to Sgt. Patron. Collecting Sgt. Dan features the Marines Sgt. Patron served remembering the man they knew and loved and his family's quest to come to terms with the gravity of losing their hero, son, brother, husband, and uncle. Sgt. Dan's brother, Matt, assembles footage from their childhood and adult lives to create a portrait of his brother that will never be forgotten. When an EOD tech is killed in the line of duty a post blast analysis is conducted to determine what happened to the brave hero. This is one family's post blast to recover the stories and memories and honor Sgt. Dan forever.
